A modest off spinning all rounder, highly carnivorous (”meat lover” for those of you who were looking for a dictionary), and still waiting for that tad bit of spin that god promised. Charitha represented Royal College up to U15 and vice captained the TISOL Papua New Guinea side, which for those who didn’t take geography in school, is located just above Australia (and it’s an island).
He was also a member of the Dialog Telekom 30 over side, too good to represent the 40 over side,…. obviously……….. He joined Stallions Cricket quite voluntarily in 2009. also because no other team was interested.
Other interests: Tennis, Rugby (only when the other blokes are thin), and fast cars.
Aspirations: hope his hair doesn’t fall off, and hopes he doesn’t get left behind in the altar.
Best bowling figures: 3 overs 1 for 10 against Alpha Fire
Was a very promising cricketer. However injuries, women and alcohol ruined what could have been “Glorious” career…Street cricket in Kalubowila(peries avenue) on Sundays helped him get back on track with his cricket and his life. I was extremely privileged to have played alongside him be it street cricket or school cricket (mostly Street cricket)…between didn’t know he had an issue with his hair. Because back in the day it was lush and shiny as anything…!
May be that’s why Mr. Sirimanna (Siri) decided to tie the knot ASAP….
