Damian, or Dema as he is better known made his debut for the Stallions in December 2008 against HNB making a healthy contribution of 35 which came in quick fire time and showed what was to be expected in the coming games! Being a hard hitting opening batsman and a right handed ‘budhu’ pace bowler who most often than not loves to test the wicket keepers skills down the leg side represented St. Joseph’s College in the U-15,17 and 2nd XI sides and also played for SSC School of Cricket, SSC Div III, Ernst & Young, Bloomfield - Divisions III and the Under 23 Nugegoda SC -  Div II sides. In 2003 he had the rare opportunity to play alongside some of the former national cricketers for SSC led by Ranil Abeynaike.

Damian starts off the innings on the 4th gear and shifts to 5th in a couple of overs. He doesn’t believe in settling in and its proven to be the right way to go for him. His quick fire 122* against United Tractors in 2010 would testify to this being the highest score by a Stallion hitherto. A good fielder at any position but tends to hang on to the harder catches while at times lets go of the more simpler ones due to cramps he gets in the most unusual places!! Seen on the field with his pants down at the fall off every wicket, he says it is to adjust the knee guard but its resulted in bamboozling in coming batsmen!! Opponents’ beware!@#$%

Damian has taken up after his father; An Accountant by profession. His spare time is spent with the Old Joes Choir (or so he says)!! Whether it is to sing or for other purposes we are yet to find out!! A brilliant team man, there is never a dull moment with him around and very often would convert a serious team discussions into twisted humour. He is a perfect example to what the Stallions is all about; Fun, laughter and a jolly good time!

Damian takes a lot of pride in his gifted looks (or so he claims) and has stiff competition with Devinda to be the sexiest Stallion going!! He has been seen roaming the streets of Kelaniya in the infamous ‘Porche’ at unearthly hours for reasons unknown to man!!
