The 2010 skipper “Ganey” as he is popularly known made his debut for the Stallions on 5th October 2008, scoring an unbeaten 57 against Elephanites CC. A right-handed hard-hitting batsman and right arm opening bowler, had the distinction of captaining his Alma Mater, S. Thomas College Mt. Lavinia in the Under 15 and Under 17 (Division ll) levels.

He was a regular member of the SSC School of cricket and later represented SSC division III side and was a member of the Champion side in 2003 where he opened the bowling.

He took wing to UK to further enhance his knowledge in Mechanical Engineering and during that time, he represented Kingston University’s indoor and outdoor cricket teams which he had the distinction of captaining in 2006/ 2007 season.

As the spearhead of the Stallion pace attack, Ganey is known for his “swinging balls” as many an opposition batmen found out that their bats “were not wide enough” to cope with. He is one of the safest fielders especially in the outfield in the Stallions outfit and is a perfect team man. Ganey had the opportunity of leading the Stallions in the inaugural T20 game against the visiting Alpha Fire XI at NCC, which the Stallions came out victorious.

After stepping down from the leadership in 2011 due to MBA commitments, Ganey was reinstated as skipper for the 2012 season where he made a blistering century putting together a record 200 plus partnership in a 35 over match against our inaugural division 3 rivals Sommerset.
